more memorial day

it's been awhile. and i actually had this post sitting in my draft. let's start with:

holiday weekend part two

dolce far niente - the sweetness of doing nothing

we sat at the park. just breathed in and out. chatted some. shared a few songs. 

but mostly? the sweetness of doing nothing

i also enjoyed grace showing me one of the walks she does

this is cody. y'all KNOW how much i love dogs. hey, he didn't even get a blog name. t

cody is his real name. anyway, he brings his family much go (seriously?) JOY. 

although he does have a lot of go. on our walk we saw a big ugly black snake. RIGHT??

then! it was out to lambert's. the home of the flying roll. please ignore skunk stripe.

grace and her man! they make a lovely couple. you'll see.

chicken fried steak. mashed pots, corn, green beans. and lots of rolls. 

i took half home and i still hurt

anyone want to guess what that is?? I KNOW. 

i'm adjusting my sleep schedule back to a more normal routine. i sent my resume out and updated my linkedin profile. also heard confirmation from recruiter that my new resume has been submitted to an employer. of COURSE i'll let you know. oh, and i submitted a few myself. 

laundry, recycle and grocery. we have a whole foods here. not that i shop at whole paycheck (or only for a rare item) but they recycle. people. IT'S THE ONLY PLACE. so, yes, i have to store my recycles (recyclables?) and make a trip. whatever. but i'm proud of myself.

grocery store included rewarding myself with the roses and the wedding italian cake. (they actually sell an entire cake. all of the time. the baker pointed this out to me. 'gurl...there is no way a whole cake is going home to my house) and i donated to a children's cause. 

i also cooked two of my hello fresh meals. i took half of the dishes to steve's wife. we've had lunch together twice now. at her work. it's not far from here. it gives us time to bond and eat good food. that catches us up to before this weekend. and i still have other memorial day weekend photos to show you.

today is sonogram time to find out the sex of grandbaby. everyone thinks it's a boy. won't everyone be surprised if it isn't. but that won't happen because it's a boy.
