friday the 13th...wooo...

whatever.

it's a beautiful morning here. my resume is done. at least this version is done. i'm also very excited to announce that i got everything done on my to do list yesterday. that almost never happens. however, i have been working on getting over my perfectionism.

grace and i were chatting about perfectionism. i am an excellent perfectionist! the down side is the stress. so i'm learning. what is a realistic amount of things i can get done in one day. and yes, i'm still using the google 'keep' app and i'm still loving it.

a few of the items on yesterday's to do list was to hang all of the curtains - and hem a set - with that magical hem tape!

here is the one over my bed. love it.

the other photo is of my new pot. when talking to my dad about pots and pans he insisted i try circulon. i looked several places and finally found one at tarjay. and, i do love this pot! the lid is built to have a section that allow water to drain off. no more colander for this baby.

speaking of - i'm still automatically looking for the recycle bin. boo. and, here's another thing. i am one person! one. i don't need a 5 pot box set of pots and pans. i don't need 24 rolls of toilet paper - besides where would i store all that?

in my quest to only take and keep what i will use i often have to pay more for less. although this is frustrating i would rather go this way than fill up the trash can (or use space for unnecessary items). I do think the minimal lifestyle is catching on and some items are being offered in smaller or single amounts.

hey, you know what i just realized? once again the baby boomers are setting the precedent in sales and marketing. we, as i was born in the last year available, are the largest age group. still. our generation has led the way in all markets for years. so now we are single, or have a limited income, or just don't want to take care of all that crap that sits around in the house.

since my resume is done i'm going to try and get a massage today. everything hurts.

i will blog you later!

  3. We recycle a lot and would find it strange to revert. Love the shabby curtain! I did not know that you claim the Baby Boomer category, hmmm.
