here where i live the weather people are 95% wrong. really. and this would be an important issue because i live in snow country. a good storm that really happens..well you need to know about that.
i used to live in hurricane country. that was easier. you could watch it wreck it's way up from the islands, florida, south and north carolina and those guys were much better at projecting the level of chaos. at least from the storm's point of view. obviously the physical land reaction and building structure had different ideas on the subject.
only had to evacuate once in seven years. and it was worth it because there are photos of dolphins swimming in the parking lot. many homes destroyed. fortunately our home was intact. any other hurricane you just bought all the junk food you could eat for 3-5 days, candles, batteries and wait that stuff out.
here when you really never know if it really will be the weather predicted...well..one may just think it's the boy out on the plains calling 'wolf' and not prepare. quarter tank of gas? meh. half a gallon of milk? meh.
today happens to be one of those 5% 'called them right' storms. blizzard in fact. and guess who's working? yes! me! that's what happens when your job relies on the nyse.
so i watched cars slither hither and yon this morning. and yes, i only have a quarter of a tank of gas.
still thinking about jobs in warming weather.
dance on people.
