November 6th - my creative title

(I have tried several time to get this post to line up correctly. My apologies)

let's see if i can write this entry in one sitting.

these past few days have been very nice to me.

i've come out of my shyness (I KNOW! you do not think I would ever be shy, but I am!) and have nicely stood up for myself or done things that are not my norm. my norm is keep every thought that might be perceived as negative and done it anyway. Did you know that it is not 'anyways'? College instructor drilled it into our brains. Also, we do not raise children (like corn) we 'rear' them. I know. He was a stickler.

Also, please notice, that I am starting to write with correct punctuation. I am writing many emails, many business/networking emails, and working on documents that it has almost become normal to use capital letters. For now.

Story one: I bought a pair of wireless, noise cancelling headphones because of the noise at work and also for home. Home is not very noisy, however, I do like complete silence which is not in the least in the realm of possibilities with a Great Dane and teenage boy. (Not complaining. Just the facts).

After wearing the headphones for about two hours I decided they were not for me. I also looked them up on Amazon. Amazon is no longer offering them for sale as there were too many returns. I took my receipt and boxed them up to return to the better place to purchase. People. Read your return policy. I thought I had 30 days. Nope. 14 day. I arrived on day 16. Cashier - I'm sorry I can't return these for you. (14 days, etc etc). But I'm only 2 days out and I did know, and you carry them. If I came in two days ago this would not be an issue, correct?

Co-cashier did an override. When all the data entry was done cashier then told me she could only give me story credit. Rinse, repeat. Two days ago they would have let me return the device for a full credit to my card. May I please see your manager? Customer Service Manager - I'm sorry but it's story policy and this entry cannot be over rode. I smiled nicely and said, I'm sorry I don't believe you. Any system can be over rode. Please let me speak to your manager. Enters assistant store manager. Code entered, complete refund to my card. Nice. Thank you very much.

In the past I would have been highly upset but stopped at the customer service manager.

Story two: Went shopping at one of my fav stores yesterday. Last jacket on the rack. But zipper very difficult as it is a reversible jacket - and there was a small hole in the left inner pocket. Bucked up my bravery and kindly asked for a 20% discount due to the zipper and hole. Tah-Dah!! The manager was very nice. Here is said coat. Am in love:

Now for some other photos - To begin: Halloween. The theme was the Avengers

Here is Director Fury (Lolitta) and Black Widow (Cupcake) The Hulk (Lolitta's first born)

Here I am on my way to meet the team. I was Pipper Pots. Now I know what it is like as a bleach blonde. No thank you.

Here is a maple cookie with cream in the middle. The idea is like an Oreo. Stuffing in the middle.

Here. My oh my. Yummy, yummy.

The last two compositions were from yesterday and testing out my camera's cool photo editor. Winter me, a photo of our mountains, and the next protein shake I will try. Meredith says I need to drop the chia seeds. I've never had one. We shall see.

Last night I visited the largest Hallmark in my state. IN MY STATE! It was really nice walking around their store. Probably for about 30 minutes. The kept asking me if they could help me but I just wanted to take in the visual candy.

So I wasn't able to write this post in one sitting. But, still the same day!  This weekend is the celebration of youngest's 25th birthday. Steve and his wife are flying in...specifically I am taking her to see the Lion King - The Musical.

Chat you soon.
