smells like life

hi.

guess what? it snowed! twice! and the autumn leaves are still standing. this makes me happy.

you know what else? it's a new season. i feel it. the season where what was here is beginning to fade. in one last burst of brilliant color it's going to die. go under group and hibernate. building life silently. mother nature will cover and hide the life with a blanket of white pureness. as she fades and disappears she will nourish the life that is building.

building hope. building new. you cannot have spring without dying and hibernating growth. you cannot change it or go against it. we've found ways to extend it but it only goes against what is natural.

let life die. let it hibernate. let it bring new life.

enjoy the process. the smells and visual clues that life is cycling. when you embrace the full cycle you will love them all.

crisp apples, pumpkin pie, leaves piling and faintly smelling of wet and mold. seeing your breath in the air and getting to wear your favorite sweater for the first time.

drink deeply, hold lightly.

dance on people.
