steve and i chatted last night. which means if you have offspring from his generation it was text. that's how they roll.
he was asking questions about cowboy. why did i like him? that was interesting. because, you know, you can't (or shouldn't) bash your ex to the children. divorce 101.
i know we all really want to. sometimes more badly than others but in the long run it just doesn't help.
so i had to choose my answers wisely.
i like him because he's smart. he gets me. we can have a conversation without someone having to win...(oops...my slip showed a little there)...he can stand toe to toe with me. he has goals.
in the end i told my first born..."some day we can talk about these things on a deeper level...but for now...i need you to know that what happened to me was for the best..."
