i've changed my work hours. i'm stilling grinding the nose for 10 hours to have one day off every other week but i'm in one half hour later and i'm the last one to leave.
it was fabulous yesterday. it's amazing what a difference that 30 minutes make. i have some more down time in the morning and i have 30 minutes of silence to concentrate on the piles and piles of stuff on my desk.
i'm litterally training to take over one of my boss's positions and as of late my desk is beginning to look like her's. which drives my brain crazy.
also, i had my first date from the site last night.
at first i wasn't going to go. he mentioned "union" and my stomach clenched. the last date i had with a 'union' guy that was ALL he could talk about. have you met me? i'm a republican. i don't believe in unions. it was one of the circle's of dante's hell.
but, i chatted up lolitta, who is always the most level headed person in my circle. she doesn't get butterflies in her eye, no drama, nada. she says, "go."
so i did. and it was quite a nice evening. we ended up talking a bit too much about our ex's ... i think because we have similar stories...that "so and so cheated on me" story.
i told him i was booked until next tuesday cuz mum is coming in. truly, not avoiding. just booked. he says he'll call and we'll do something rather than sit in a bar and gripe about the others.
oh, did i mention he's originally from jersey? yup. still has the accent as well.
specting our first snow of the year. not happy. i remember 2006 begging the snow to fall from the heavens. now? *&'%@!
"but we're in october and it's time!" saith the ex coworker who moved here from miami.
just you wait my pretty...just you wait.
