the most i remember about summer camp was being alone. i'm an only. and i was sent away to a summer camp that wasn't even near my home. ohmyholycats here it is! camp cedar falls. if memory serves me well, meredith went there. OF COURSE SHE HAD A FABULOUS TIME! you, know, cuz it was more local to her school - and her friends went there. i don't know. maybe i got the family deal. i'm pretty sure my parents meant very well. giving me the exposure to summer camp. but then maybe i was also a pain in their butt and they needed a break. hey, there was at least one time i sent my kids off because i needed a break.
anyway, back to talking about me. because it's my blog. not yours.
one year i spent two weeks there. the first week was in the normal cabin style girls yada yada. the second week i got to spend it at the horse part of the camp. i think i slept in a covered wagon. both weeks i was an outsider and a loner - at least the second week i was with horses. i think every young girl likes horses.
btw, the cafeteria looks like it hasn't changed. and if you'd like a wonderful tasteless bland diet - just pick you up some of that sda stuff. blech.
so, summer camp. not a high light for me. annie mentioned going to adult summer camp this year. sounds interesting except you have to check all of your electronics at the door. ALL. it would be back to paper books. whaaat?
i don't think my idea of summer camp is called summer camp. i think it's called all inclusive resort. or cruise. something like that.
blab you later.
