Sometimes I feel like I am at cross purposes in my job.

Compliance analyst.  A few days ago I saw a job title "sandwich artist". They make subs. All I know is that it makes my job title sound boring. Need to work on that.

Anyway. My job is to make sure everything is right. That's what I was hired for. But lately we've had some new persons affiliate with our company. Let me tell you there is nothing more egotistical, prima donna, pain in the ass than sales people. Especially this current new batch.

And of course they don't think they have to follow the rules. Do you see the storm brewing?

Yesterday was a peach of a day. Apparently my boss is weary of hearing complaints from these doinks so I got a dress down.

Yep. That was special.

About a month ago I was interviewed by a government contractor who was doing a security clearance  for a friend. Investigator. I could totally do that job. I did some research and it's a field almost impossible to get into you. You have to have a security clearance, which you cannot pay for yourself, you have to be sponsored by a company.

I looked at current job openings in the field and a senior management position was open. Get this. Not only did you have to have gobs of experience, all the security levels available but they also wanted the person to have a phd. And they pay? 60-80k a year. Right. That's a career winner.

So today I'm grouchy mc grouch and do not want to go to work.
