huh???

there are some things i just don't get.

meaning, i can usually intellectually wrap my brain around most things but my heart stands there all question-y.

for instance, how can people be in love, they make your world spin, so much that each make drastic decisions to stay with each other, and then one day, poof. all gone.

i'm not really talking about myself. and the end of my marriage. really. i'm talking about a friend. dude, they even still like talk and occasionally share a meal together. I KNOW. i don't get it.

another instance. falling in love again. of course my brain says that's possible. probable? mmmm...but def possible. my heart is not so convinced. it's even forgotten what that feels like.

these are just a few of the things that can keep me awake.
